To catch up with the latest news from time to time in this very era, I decided to get myself a TV card, and hence the pictures below.
KWorld USB 2.0 VS-TV DVB-T 310U
The product is rather easy to use; plug-in everything, choose either Analogue or Digital TV, scan then watch. Of course I mean after the driver and utility applications are installed, which is simply a series of clicking.
Analogue TV channels scanned are: RTM1, RTM2, TV3, NTV7, 8TV and TV9. Did it miss out any? The picture is clear with NTV7 and 8TV with slightest interference. Since I was using the DVB-T antenna came along with the package all the while, I wonder if using an analogue antenna would help. Worth a try I guess.
Digital TV channels scanned are: RTM1, RTM2, RTMi, Muzik Aktif, Arena, BES Aktif, Klasik Nasion and TV7. It's my first time ever to watch digital TV, which is impressively clear. But the programs provided are very limited.
The card is also capable of receiving digital radio signals. Channels found are: MUZIKfm, KLfm, TRAXXfm, AIfm, MINNALfm and ASYIKfm. Wonder if MYfm has this digital thingy?
One drawback to point out is the application software, which can be improved in terms of user friendliness. And sadly, even though Windows Media Center is claimed to support the card, but it operates only in digital TV mode; and it doesn't display the content at all - well, probably I didn't get MC set up properly.
Overall, I am happy to have bought this Christmas present for myself.
I bought the TV card from YoongKeen from LYN. Fast and reliable seller with a few more products.
